About Me

My journey with yoga began at the age of 19, initially as a way to help combat jet lag
while working as long-haul cabin crew. What started as a practical solution quickly
became a lifelong passion.
Throughout my years of travelling, I had the wonderful opportunity to practise with a
wide variety of teachers and explore different styles of yoga across the world. I
qualified as a yoga teacher in the 1990s and have been teaching ever since,
continually developing my own practice and sharing my love of yoga with others.
My classes are friendly, welcoming and fun, while always grounded in the underlying
principles of Ashtanga yoga, a practice to which I remain deeply dedicated. I
believe yoga should be both accessible and enjoyable, while still offering the
opportunity to develop strength, awareness, mobility and a deeper connection with
ourselves.
Over the years, I have also specialised in teaching pregnancy, baby and postnatal
yoga, supporting women through some of the most important and transformative
stages of their lives.
My learning has never stopped. I regularly attend workshops and continue to study
with a variety of experienced Ashtanga teachers, always looking to deepen my own
understanding and bring fresh knowledge and inspiration to my teaching.
Yoga, Movement & Osteopathy
Alongside yoga, I am currently fulfilling a long-held ambition to train as an
Osteopath, entering my third year at HSU (formerly UCO School of Osteopathy). As
part of my studies, I have also qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist, further
developing my understanding of the body, movement and how we can support it
through different stages of life.
I feel incredibly fortunate that my career and interests have come together in this
way. Yoga, osteopathy and massage all share a common thread for me: helping
people to understand, care for and feel more at home in their bodies.
Away from teaching and studying, I am a wife and mum to three adult children. I still
have a huge passion for travel, adventure and discovering new places — and,
wherever I go, my yoga mat comes with me!
After 30 years of teaching, I am as passionate about yoga as I was when I first
stepped onto a mat. I look forward to continuing to learn, explore and share the
practice with my students.
